A swimming pool and accommodation building will be built on the registered immovable of Puiestee 1 in Tõrva City, Valga County. The complex will be located in the immediate vicinity of the sports hall of Tõrva Gümnaasium, and the buildings will be linked by a gallery. A partly single- and partly double-storey building will be integrated via a high and smoothly winding parapet. The bulk of the building will be structured by a glass facade, which runs along the perimeter of the building and opens up views of the surrounding natural environment. There will be a cantilevered terrace covered by a roof in the west and a terrace with an outdoor pool and a smoke sauna partially covered by a canopy in the south of the building. The facade of the building will be covered with a vertical wooden board treated with black glaze oil, to which in turn alternating vertical wood laths will be attached. There will be technical rooms with a separate entrance on the basement floor of the building, and a swimming pool and servicing rooms on the first floor. The swimming facility includes a 25-metre swimming pool with three lanes, a separate children’s pool, a jacuzzi, five different saunas and an indoor and outdoor relaxation area. On the second floor of the building hostel-type accommodation with a central recreational area and kitchenette, as well as a technical room, will be built. People with mobility, visual and hearing impairments have also been taken into account – suitable entrances to the building, compliant toilets and a lift that meets the requirements of disabled people have been designed for the building.
