Construction of the LõunaTERA private school in Tartu

Within this project, the existing production building of Astri Köök will be converted into a school building for the LõunaTERA private school in a single construction stage. The current 1–2-storeyed production building will be revamped and, south of it, a new wing will be built for the schoolhouse. The schoolhouse will be a largely single-storeyed building with a T-shaped floor plan. The schoolhouse will be a largely single-storeyed building with a T-shaped floor plan. The building will have a modernist design: white fibre cement board surfaces, wooden ribbing and boarding, large/tall classroom windows, jutting verandas clad with wooden ribbing, and a canopied board terrace around nearly the entire perimeter. The school will teach grades 1 to 6 (12 classes or up to 288 pupils in total) and include a kindergarten with 3 classes (up to 60 kindergarteners in total). The school will have up to 30 teachers/staff present at a time.
